What is the temperature range that Apricoat is good for?
The temperature range the coat can stand depend from person to person, but it’s definitely good down to -4F / -20C (with a thermal top). This is thanks to ClimatShell(TM), the key component of Apricoat insulation. A body temperature recovery technology that manages to increase the temperature around the body by about 30% on average, without adding any weight or volume, without compromising on the moisture and humidity removal and excess heat quickly and efficiently of high-quality of thermal fabric. Thus helping to regulate body temperature and adding comfort in cold conditions, at any level of activity. In addition, the coat has built-in hood and gloves which help keep you warm.

How will the manufacturing of Apricoat be carried out?
Apricoat will be manufactured in one of the leading high-quality manufacturers in the world located in China, specializes in producing coats for travelers. The Quality control (QC) will be done by a worldwide leading third party company in its field, which comes especially from abroad to perform quality tests in addition to the tests carried out by the factory. Samples from the assembly line will be sent to a laboratory in several stages of the production process for testing to ensure that all technical properties have been maintained such as water resistance and breathability. Quality is our guiding principle, and we’re not going to compromise on it.

Does my jacket come with a hydration unit?
All the backers will get free hydration; in the add on page, we allow to get more units in the price of 20 dollars. But we will provide 1 unit per coat for free.

Is it possible to exchange if sizing or color is not a good fit?
Backers can exchange the coat, but the shipping cost for 2 ways will be Backer’s responsibility. Please note that the shipping cost is the backer’s responsibility

Why do Dark Gray and Black look so similar?
In the survey, the jackets each have the Pantone true color number available to confirm to distinction between the two colors. Ultimately, the Pantone number for Dark Gray and Black is very close, but under close look of the two in their pre-rendered solid state, it becomes clearer to distinguish them. Further along in production we will have more images to share with backers for confirmation as well.

I'm having trouble determining which size jacket I need- what can I do to make sure I order the best size for myself?
The project team confirmed that the sizing charts for the jackets should roughly correlate to what your size is when measured outside of the coat; if you are between sizes, the project team advises for backers to select the larger size.
The jacket sizing chart would be in the case where the jacket were lying flat. The human measurement chart would be for your own measurements, without the jacket.
The final chest sizing chart should be used for determining jacket size; the final jacket size chart can be used as a reference to see what dimensions your size corresponds to and should not be used as a way to determine one’s size.
If you don’t get along with the chest measurement, try the second chart of the jacket measurement and you can compare it to another jacket you have.

Are there any differences between the women's and men's style coats?
Yes, the women’s sizes are cut differently to accomodate for flexible chest size; men’s cuts are more straight fitting against the body.

Is there enough room in the jackets to wear layers?
Measurement is not exact to the cm; you have a bit of wiggle room with how precise your measurements are. Then the measurement of the jacket is to be measured laid flat, which you want slightly larger than your actual chest measurement so you can layer clothing underneath, not skin tight.
I.e. Men’s Large is 42-44 inches all the way around, jacket size is 59cm flat = 23.3” which x2 for both sides is about 46/47” so you have room to layer. Go off chest unless you’re particularly tall

What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
